Trump defeated Nikki Haley in South Carolina primary (her home state). Before this she had never lost in her home state; she is going to continue her campaign still.
Trump's campaign emphasized outreach through pastors, often bringing up how he had appointed Supreme Court justices who overturned the constitutional right ot an abortion established in the 1973 case Roe v. Wade.
Instead of campaigning in SC Saturday, Trump visited the Conservative Political Action Conference outside Washington, where he spoke for 90 minutes without mentioning opponent Haley. Instead, he talked about the potential election rematch with Biden.
In this speech he stated: "Our country is being destroyed, and the only thing standing between you and its obliteration is me." he said. "In many ways, we're living in hell right now." He also used many vulgar statements and names to describe his political opponents, and even claimed that if he lost it would be "illegitimate".
